They run small. OMG- these are the best shoes ever! They were the last pair and believe me they are feather light, no blisters, pains etc. Super Cute Mary Jane…uniquely stitched. Memory foam pads and pillows do cause excessive heat so Bernie, you need to consider some anti-bacterial application.
I found some at a garage sale and wish I could find more of the similar style. I do not like the woven style of most of them but the ones I have are a cream leather. Same designer with 2 spellings??
I also purchased a pair at Shoo in Milwaukee, WI. My feet are always clean. I just bought Febreeze and will try that. The shoes are the most comfortable ever! Need a smell solution though. Thanks for the confirmation! I thought it was just me. Incredibly comfortable!!! But yes, they do get stinky, will be washing them this weekend in the washing machine. Hope they will turn out well.
To Robin and anyone else who has tried puting Bernie Mevs in a washing machine How did that work? Did it ruin the shoes? I love my Bernies but think that its time to give them a really good cleaning.

I put a pair of Air Plus gel inserts into the shoe before wearing the first time. It helps with the comfort, but more importantly, I can wash the insoles when they become stinky. I wear mine a lot, so wash after about wears. Hope this helps. I spray anti-perspirant on the soles of my feet after hand washing the shoes and odor is no longer a problem.
I wear a pair of Peds extra low cut light weight footies in my shoes. I think the footies create a air space between my foot and the shoe. If I put on the footie correctly, it cannot be seen. I despise wearing shoes barefoot, so I always wear some form of foot cover inside all shoes. I plan to wash them and was following this thread to find out if people let them air dry or machine dried them.
I have 4 pairs of bernie. They are super comfortable, stylish and lead to many compliments. My back, and sensitive feet are totally happy when I wear them. For an inexpensive second option, you can make a simple solution of one part vinegar to two parts water and spray that on them. My first pair I threw out because of the smelly foam but now I hand wash and sun dry…..
